New Book by Ken Peterson, Obl.OSB

Prayer as Night FallsKenneth Peterson, Benedictine Oblate of St. Placid Priory, has a new book coming out in November.  Prayer as Night Falls:  Experiencing Compline is the fruit of Ken’s years of singing compline at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle.  His book includes the history and themes of compline, as well as reflections on his own spiritual journey.

Ken taught music in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, and has a longstanding interest in chant and early music.  He has also had a career as a software engineer, but always made time for music.  He sings with the Peregrine Medieval Vocal Ensemble as well as St. Mark’s compline choir.

On Sunday, November 10 from 11:45 to 12:30 p.m. Ken will sign copies of Prayer as Night Falls in the lobby at St. Placid Priory.
