SISTER SHARON MCDONALD RE-ELECTED PRIORESS

The Benedictine community of St. Placid Priory re-elected Sister Sharon McDonald, OSB as our prioress on March 16, 2018. We thank everyone who has held us in prayer for this important event in our monastic life. We also thank our discernment facilitator, Sister Cecilia Dwyer, OSB of St. Benedict’s Monastery, Bristow, Virginia; our Federation President Sister Kerry O’Reilly, OSB of St. Benedict’s Monastery, St. Joseph, Minnesota, who oversaw our election; and Sister Linda Soler, OSB of St. Paul Monastery, St. Paul, Minnesota, who was here to observe as part of her facilitator training.
