Fr. Gerard Kirsch of St. Martin’s Abbey, Lacey, was the chaplain for St. Placid Priory for more than 40 years. He was faithful, kind and generous. He had a prodigious memory for names and dates, including pertinent details about various members of St. Placid who had passed on years ago. Fr. G, as he was affectionately known by us and many others, was energetic as well as compassionate and prayerful. We will miss him greatly.
