Zoom-“Prosper our Handiwork”- Scripture, Craft and Contemplative Paths

With Evan Clendenin

May 28, 2020

Do you work with your hands at your job, or as a hobby, or even both? How? What are the crafts and arts you pursue, whether as novice or master? How does this activity intersect with, or ‘body-forth’ your prayer and growth in the Spirit? This class will consider such matters as these questions raise through a look at scripture. In particular, we will encounter biblical imagery and symbolism found in Old Testament, Psalms, Pauline letters and Gospels which provide biblical sources to nurture craft as a contemplative path of prayer and activity.
