Zoom-Practicing Thresholds to Revision Our Democracy
With Lucy Wynkoop, OSB

Practicing Thresholds is a way of pausing to deal with racial, immigration, and environmental injustices so we may begin to embrace a new vision of American democracy. Models such as Brigid, a midwife of the threshold place, straddled the old and new in the Celtic tradition. Jesus, a Jew related deeply with the Samaritan woman and inspired her to receive life giving water. Beth Silvers and Sarah Steward Holland’s Pantsuit Politics invite us to dialogue with “grace.” From these threshold models how might we personally be invited to explore corrective and environmental racial justice in re-visioning our democracy?
