Do you yearn for rest, prayer and spiritual nurturing in your busy schedule?
What would your life look like if you gave yourself two retreat opportunities and six quiet afternoons during the year?
Spiritual direction and lectio divina are available to aid your reflection, as is silence. If you desire less structure, that is also an option.
The format will include contemplative quiet, spiritual direction, spiritual nourishment, small group prayer, liturgical prayer and dinner with the Sisters one Thursday each month. There are two 2-day retreats included as well.
Jorgenson
We will have a small group prayer process with each monthly session: 3:30-4:45pm.
“I started attending Oasis this fall, and it has indeed been a time and place of spiritual sustenance. Simply getting the dates on the calendar before life fills in all the open space ensures that my life includes times set aside regularly for rest, reflection, and reconnection with God’s creative love. The monthly gatherings include a healthy balance of solitude, spiritual direction, conversation, and texts to ponder. Our practice is framed by the wise words of Beatrice Bruteau in Radical Optimism: “most of the spiritual life is really a matter of relaxing.” Indeed, participation in Oasis has helped me to relax my grip on busyness and anxiety and open my heart to the rejuvenating presence of God. The time on retreat allows me return to my family and my vocation with a renewed sense of gratitude, appreciation and wonder, awakened afresh to the many ways that God is present in ordinary life.” — Pastor Darla DeFrance
